The Best Testimonial

I always find it funny when a conversation with a new client goes something like this:

Me: What's your goal?

Client: I want to lose inches on my waist and be leaner and stronger.

Me: Do you have a certain weight in mind?

Client: I'd like to be around 150.

Me: Ok, great.  Here's the plan.  (Here I give the details of the plan.)

Client: Well, you know, the only thing that really worked for me is when I did the all-protein diet for 30 days.  


STOP!!!!


Forgetting the fact that an all-protein diet is just not smart or healthy on any level, the thing that always strikes me is this:

IF THAT PLAN OR DIET REALLY WORKED FOR YOU, YOU WOULDN'T BE HERE WITH ME RIGHT NOW!


REPEAT after me, people: any diet or plan that only yields short-term results and no long-term results FAILS YOU.


The Moyer Method has staying power, baby!  Here's a text I just received from an old client who reached his goal months ago: 

 

"Hey Guys, At the doc for a routine checkup and my weight is still 188 ... and that's after Thanksgiving. Just wanted to share the good news.  Hope you both are well!"

These are the testimonials I am most proud of: clients who are finished working out with me but have maintained the results we achieved together.  These are the testimonials that let me know I'm doing a good job.  

(It's also uncanny with Dan and I: no matter what I showed up wearing for our sessions, Dan was almost always dressed exactly the same, just like in the picture: on this day, it was dark shorts, grey tanktop.)
