WORKOUT OF THE DAY

You need one pair of dumbbells for this workout.  Pick a weight that is a little challenging for 15 reps.  My recommendations are below.

THE WORKOUT:  You do a set of REAL pushups until failure (REAL pushups are chest to the ground and full extension to the top).  After failure, you grab your dumbbells and do 15 bicep curls.  You then run a quarter of a mile.  I had my clients run around the block at the gym; you can do yours on a treadmill if there is nowhere safe to run outside.  With as little rest as possible, you repeat the sequence.  Count your pushups every set until you reach the goal.

My best clients were finishing their pushups within 6 rounds.

 

ADVANCED            

160 pushups and 20 pound dumbbells

 

INTERMEDIATE            

100 pushups and 15 pound dumbbells

 

BEGINNER          

50 pushups and 10 pound dumbbells
